CLOVEN HOOF Explains Show Cancellation
July 22, 2008NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) legends CLOVEN HOOF have issued the following update:
"CLOVEN HOOF were unable to appear at a charity show on 13th July. This was because Jon Brown (drums) had sustained a hip injury. The band would like to apologize to all the fans who went to the Liquid Room in Edinburgh and promise there will be a chance for the faithful in Scotland to see the HOOF soon. Jon has made a good recovery, and he is looking forward to the Metal Brew festival in London on Saturday, July 26th. The event will take place at the Mill Hill Rugby Club, Page Street, Mill Hill, London NW7 2EL (The festival is held on the field outside the rugby bar). CLOVEN HOOF take to the stage at 10pm, and promise the best set ever!"
CLOVEN HOOF was recently rejoined by guitarist Mick Powell. His first show back with the group took place at JB's in Dudley on April 23.
The band re-recorded 24 of its classic songs for a two-part "best-of" compilation, "The Definitive Part One" and "The Definitive Part Two".
